Over the eight weeks of the course, participants can expect a time commitment of approximately 3 hours per week, consisting of:

  • 1.5 hour online workshop via Butter
  • 30 minutes per week on reading and reflection
  • 1 hour per week on assessments.

Participants will work collaboratively in teams to apply practices and skills to a start-up idea either their own, in a team or a real world industry problems and skills to a start-up idea either their own, in a team or a real world industry problem

Participants will demonstrate their learning through an Innovation Project Portfolio, containing:

Innovation Pitch Presentation: A final presentation that effectively communicates the innovative solution with feedback from start-up founders.

Problem Statement and Justification: A clearly articulated problem statement supported by market or community needs analysis.

Customer Personas: Detailed profiles of potential users or customers, highlighting their needs, behaviors, and pain points.

Solution Ideation Log: A record of brainstormed solutions, selection criteria, and final concept choice.

Market Validation Summary: A summary of primary and secondary research findings that validate the feasibility and market need for the proposed solution.

To complete this online course, you will need a personal computer with adequate internet access and sufficient software and bandwidth to support web conferencing.
