This program is supported by the Sunshine Coast Council with a business contribution of $595 to join the program. Up to 2 members of the business can join the program for this contribution fee

    Program Facilitator

    Tara has over 25 years experience in innovation education and regional business growth. As co-founder of Groei – an innovation education organisation, she has supported and mentored thousands of business owners and start-ups across regional Australia including being the program designer and facilitator of the award winning USQ Wire Program. This program has connected hundreds of geographically isolated women to start new or expand existing businesses, in turn creating jobs for their drought-ravaged regions. Tara has founded four businesses herself, one of which was an RTO in the Pilbara,  the first of its kind in the region. She lectures in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Strategy, Decision Making and Creativity for a number of leading Australian institutions and is currently undertaking her PhD on social and entrepreneurial capital .

     Tara is currently on the board for the International Social Capital Association and has recently been appointed as the Australian Chair for leadership and entrepreneurship education to the G100 a global group of female leaders that provide thought leadership to the G20 and policymakers. On the sunshine coast she mentors for youth innovation accelerators Generation Innovation, The Telstra Mayors Innovation awards and is a judge for the Sunshine Coast Business Awards.

    With over twenty years of working closely with entrepreneurs from business startup to maturity, Amanda Cole has seen her clients win awards, build strong and sustainable businesses and attain significant personal goals. As a leadership coach and strategy facilitator with Spark Consultants she has worked closely with business leaders to enable them with the tools to grow their business. Amanda is also Non-executive company director, and currently Chairman of four private company advisory boards including Shadforths Civil Construction and Sunfresh Linen.

    She is also Australia’s first and longest serving female Chairman for leading peer mentoring organisation The Executive Connection. Amanda is the recipient of the Centenary Medal for business and winner of the Telstra Young Business Woman’s Award (Qld) in 2000.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How much time will I need?

    The program runs over a 90 day (12 weeks) sprint. There are 3 face to face sessions of 3-6 hours each and then on the other weeks there is a virtual 90 minute session. To get the most out of the program and implement the learning you’ll need to do some extra work. How much work you do in between sessions is up to you, however we would recommend you spend at least an hour a week working on your business and dedicate an hour monthly for a team meeting to report on your success measures.  

    When do we meet?

    Every week on Friday via Zoom from 7 – 8.30am Qld Time. Dates for the face to face sessions are BOOTCAMP: 10th March (9.30 – 3), Mid Program Session: 21st April –  9 – 2.30 and Graduation on 8th June  from 3.30 – 7.

    The first weekly Zoom session is on the 17th March.

     

    What’s the class size?

    Each cohort starts the meeting in a Zoom meeting group of a maximum of 42 (generally groups of 24) . You do the work in breakout groups with your colleagues from your business.  

    What preparation will I need to do?

    We will guide you through the preparation for the sessions in our onboarding modules.  

    What kind of support will I get?

    Your groei mentor is there to help you apply the material to your business and are available on chat via groei.Us and you will have access to your peers through our groei.Us community platform. You will also get 4 x 30 mins coaching sessions throughout the program from your groei facilitator.

    What if I miss a session?

    All our workshops are recorded so you can circle back if you can’t make the Live event. We strongly encourage you to prioritise the workshops to ensure you maintain the routine.  

    How do you protect confidentiality?

    All participants accept our confidentiality agreement as part of their conditions of membership. Chatham House rules apply during all workshop sessions.  

    What if I want to leave the program?

    The program is designed to be delivered over 12 weeks so please get in touch if you find the process does not work for you. Refund requests will be at our discretion and will require 90 days notice. Refer to our T&C’s for full membership conditions on our website.  

    Do I get a certificate?

    Yep – you need to have completed all the workshops to be eligible.  

    Do I keep the tools after the program finishes?

    Yep…you retain ownership of the trello boards however to continue to access Lessons you will need to maintain your groei.Us subscription.
